Mark Webber demonstrated Red Bull’s Formula 1 showcar in front of a crowd in 150,000 in Thai capital Bangkok yesterday as part of the Thai King’s 84th birthday celebrations.
Webber, who had met King Bhumibol Adulyadej on Friday, demonstrated the car on the city’s Rajdamnoen Avenue. The crowd was the largest so far for one of Red Bull’s showcar events.
The team’s programme of street demonstrations this year has already seen its car running in Dubai, Poland, Lithuania, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Northern Ireland, as well as more traditional F1 nations such as Britain, Italy, Australia and Germany.
