McLaren says that the title is still possible

Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, Korean GPMcLaren sees no reason why he cannot win the world championship despite having lost ground to Fernando Alonso in the Grand Prix de Korea.

Finished runner-up of Lewis Hamilton, coupled with the double retirement of Red Bull Racing, has resurrected title hopes after frustration in some last - racing and team is bullish on the prospects for the future.

Team principal Martin Whitmarsh counted if the team can address errors and make some further developments of his car, then it can review his rival in the two final races of the campaign.

"There is little doubt that this will go in Abu Dhabi as a final title, which is ideal for the Championship," Whitmarsh said after the Grand Prix de Korea.

"Ferrari gave a great recovery mid-season difficulty, and they are leading the Championship we leave here, so that they are hard to beat." Red Bull Racing are also difficult to beat.

"We have to make sure improve us the car and minimize errors, and if we do that there is no reason why we cannot win this year's World Championship."

Whitmarsh believes that with so close competitive order between Red Bull Racing, Ferrari and McLaren there is still everything to play for all three teams.

"This is a difficult Championship and everyone will be flat out," he said. "Need to minimize errors.Errors were expensive for Red Bull Racing here, and they feel much under pressure.Fernando is also a phenomenal competitor who will be a good Brawl .c ' is brilliant.

"One thing you can say is that if you listen to our drivers in this race, okay it did not quite work for Lewis, but it is certainly in the race and has always trusted self-confidence and belief self.Je think he felt that he could scored a victory here."We were second and this is not too bad.

He added: "without here very much still in contention with Lewis, and we have two very interesting races ahead."The Brazil is always a great course.nous have some new bits and improve the car.

"It's a race that has demonstrated that anything can happen in this championnat.Il is still wide open."

Whitmarsh also stated that the team will consider the role of Jenson Button in final two races of the campaign, with the World Championship title hopes now almost on its disastrous Korean Grand Prix.

When asked if Button now plays a role in support for Hamilton, said Whitmarsh: "I believe that when us think this sujet.Je think that we have had a disappointing day with Jenson, but Lewis is still clearly hunting."

"Mathematically, it is not impossible for Jenson but it seems very difficult difficile.Très for lui.Nous will speak before the Brazil.".
