Pampering begins with a skin firming body wrap. - FoundryParkInn
Many of the cellulite body wraps that are made contain herbal remedies to help detoxify your system as it firms your skin. Some of the common herbs you can find in a cellulite body wrap or a skin firming wrap are seaweed, mud, Aloe Vera and algae. Some of the best mud to use is dead sea mud because of the salt content within it.
How is a Cellulite Body Wrap Applied?
A cellulite body wrap and a skin firming wrap are applied by brushing the paste made of the mud or seaweed onto the problem areas. Usually the thighs, stomach, and upper arms are done. In skin firming body wraps, it is also common to have the whole body be covered. After the paste is applied, a linen cloth that has been soaked in the paste solution is put over the pasted areas. Lastly, a wrapping of cellophane or plastic wrap is used to cover everything. This will help to draw the moisture from the fat cells and draw out the toxins. You leave this wrapping on for 20 to 30 minutes. It is then gently removed. Your wrapped areas or problem areas should then be massaged and cleansed.
How Does a Cellulite Body Wrap Work?
In actuality, a cellulite body wrap and a skin firming wrap work by causing you to perspire. You will lose inches by losing the fluid in your fat cells. This also makes your cellulite appear to get better or even to go away. If you are not careful you can actually get dehydrated by using a cellulite body wrap. Although it does look as if your skin is firmer or your cellulite is disappearing, it is only a temporary fix and the length of this fix will depend heavily on your activities and your diet. It is possible, within about a week’s time, that your skin will return to normal as your skin regains hydration, along with your fat cells.
Problems with Cellulite Body Wraps
The biggest problem is dehydration. If you do this at home make sure you don’t allow yourself to become dehydrated in the process. You also would have to have a cellulite body wrap or a skin firming wrap about every week. Although being pampered at a spa on a weekly basis sounds wonderful, it may not be good for your system. The constant threat of dehydration could be dangerous.
On top of this, the cost of a weekly cellulite body wrap can very easily become expensive. Of course, there are several types of home body wraps available that deliver results similar to those that can be found at the spa, and for a fraction of the cost, for those who are interested in the procedure, but want to save cash.
Some people shouldn’t have body wraps at all. People with high blood pressure, heart problems and epilepsy should by all means avoid the skin firming wrap procedure.
